New Zealand craft beer drinkers club SOBA have taken their loyalty discount program one step further by teaming up with household favourites Fly Buys.

In a recent statement SOBA’s president Maree Shaw said, “In recent years SOBA’s main focus has been to give our members discounts at various bars around New Zealand, but with competition such as Grab-One and similar coupon sites offering more and more discounts it made sense for us to partner with Fly Buys.”

SOBA members will sleep easy knowing their 10% discounts will now cross over to over businesses. Rebel Sport, Super Cheap Auto, Animates and Lighting Direct to name a few.  Later in the week Briscoes are expected to announce that SOBA members carrying their membership cards will be given 10% discount on all Breville sandwich makers this June. “Certainly worth travelling to Briscoes for” Shaw says.

Fly Buys strategy officer Hamish Mitchell said, “With memberships recently dropping this will be the shot in the arm that we have been looking for, we can’t wait to get a hold of the SOBA database”

Some members have objected to the new partnership saying that SOBA should be saving its money and building it’s war chest up to make a deposit on an Auckland property to have an official clubhouse to conduct its affairs.

Members can expect to enjoy themselves 10% less at the official launch party planned at next months Auckland Beer Week.
