Garage Project Acquires Restaurant Brands with Ultimate Combo Deal
In response to Moa’s recent purchase of the Savor Restaurant Group and in perhaps New Zealand’s largest tap ownership deal, Wellington beer darlings Garage Project have responded with the purchase of the entire Restaurant Brands portfolio.
Speaking by phone today while out walking his dogs, Garage Project’s Jos Ruffell said he could not imagine a more positive growth trajectory for GP. “We were really inspired by Moa’s recent beer tap power play and given their business performance track record we would be crazy not to replicate it” said Ruffell.
The deal essentially gives Garage Project access to over 1500 soda fountains in various Carl’s Juniors, Pizza Huts, Taco Bells and of course KFC, restaurants brands strongest performer.
Restaurant Brands Chairman Ted van Arkel recently seen “chowing down” on a chicken wing said he was stoked with the mouth watering deal. “We have been waiting for ages to get some Supercharger on tap at KFC and we have finally done it, I can’t wait to put that into the Quarter Pack Combo and get stuck in”
Pita Pit Bull
Canadian Artisanal Middle Eastern Sandwich group Pita Pit are believed to be in talks with ParrotDog about a similar deal, while not as large as Restaurant Brands the opportunity to get their beer into the middle east was tempting enough to bring them to the negotiating table to thrash out a deal.
